'Why Governance Matters' - an Open Lecture by Dr Mo Ibrahim - 25.03.15

Posted: Apr, 7th 2015 Contributor: Bilen Shifferaw,

The annual residential school on governance and development is part of the Governance for Development in Africa (GDAI) programme run by the Centre of African Studies at SOAS in collaboration with the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. This year's school will be held in London, including this event - an open lecture delivered by Dr Mo Ibrahim himself followed by a reception.

This GDAI initiative aims to contribute to and stimulate debate on governance, development, and the relationship between them. About 20 participants from a range of African countries, and representative of the academic, civil society and government sectors, are selected each year to take part in the residential school. Detailed information, video recordings and participant profiles can be found on the website www.governanceinafrica.org.
