The Atse Tewodros Project Live
The artists of Atse Tewodros Project are back in Addis Abeba!
On tour with their new musical project "Maqeda", they will perform at ETHIOPIAN NATIONAL THEATRE, on MONDAY 21st OCTOBER 2019 in a show of quality, talent and energy that is absolutely not to be miss!
The Atse Tewodros Project was created in 2010 by Gabriella Ghermandi, singer, performer, novelist and short-story writer, in an effort to bring together Italian and Ethiopian musicians as a way of fostering mutual dialogue through musical artistic creation.
After the release of their first CD in 2013, The Atse Tewodros Project achieved success after success: their musical work had excellent reviews in the international press and on various radio programs and has been widely heard and enjoyed in Ethiopia, with many presentations on radio, television, and social media.
In March 2015 the band won the World Music Network Battle of the Bands and its album under the title “Ethiopia: celebrating Emperor Tewodros II” was distributed in 65 countries. In the same year, it was also the winner of the International Expo competition “Energy, Art & Sustainability for Africa”, launched by Expo Milano 2015.
