A vibrant night of live music, fashion and poetry!

The organizer Lisette Mibo is the first born of five girls. Graduated with BA in Criminology with sociology. Two times awarded.

Lisette Mibo is an award winning Congolese model based in the United Kingdom and organiser to “Passion for Motherland”, a fundraising event bringing together an eclectic mixture of live music, poetry and fashion showcase for a deserving charitable cause. A platform created to bring like-minded individuals together to celebrate, network and discover new talent. For Mibo; it's heartbreaking knowing that her beloved nation (DR Congo) knows very little stability with a low quality of living; including poor education system, poor health services and many more ills, despite the country being one of the countries in the world with the richest soil, not forgetting millions of children and their families whom are victims of ills brought by decades of war. As a result, she is determined to use her talent and any given platform to raise conscious awareness of the challenges facing her Country and one way she can achieve this, is to get her fellow industry connections to support peace and stability in her motherland by participating at this event.

Fashion designers from different backgrounds and cultures are to showcase their work throughout the night, raising funds for the organisation “Menelik Education” where model: Lisette Mibo serves as a Good-Will Ambassador.

Menelik Education was founded in 2006 by Dr Theodore Menelik-Mfuni a Congolese citizen living and lecturing in Cambridge to help his motherland but also Cambridgeshire communities. Menelik Education is a community-based organisation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the UK, with the goal of spearheading community-driven development initiatives to empower those in need in the local villages. They achieve this by providing services and assistance for the right livelihood of various groups in need of support through programme such as education, capacity-building, organic farming projects, art and clay works, computer services, Eco-tourism & environmental protection, community managed microfinance, entrepreneurship development, orphans and vulnerable children support.

As well as entertainment on the night, light refreshments will also be served and guests will be invited to raise even more money through participation at the raffles and auctions that will be taking place throughout this eventful night.
