Numbi Arts Presents Rhythm Workshops - 20.07.14

Come join in for a fun and creative jam session for all, no experience needed just an open heart on a rhythmic journey. We provide the drums and begin with learning basic techniques that lead to creating our own rhythm with Numbi guest artists for this workshop Nadia Al Faghih Hasan and Freddy Macha.

If you can talk you can sing, if you can walk you can dance... if you have a heart beat you can feel the beat of the drum and the heat of the beat... music many things in many moments..rhythm voice dance...it may be a joy that meets power, transformation and the fullness of life...

Nadia is nomadic musician. Her music calls on ancestral roots of Arabic Fulani Nigerian, Turkish, Norwegian Tynside Celtic origins. She has collaborated with various artists . Freddy Macha is a Tanzanian born writer and musician, working with Kitoto Band in London. Together they deliver you drumdancesong. marhabaan, karibuni welcome.....

*Please let us know if you do not have a drum, we will provide you with a drum but we can only provide a drum if booked and paid for workshop in advance!

*Numbi family workshops take place on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Facilitated by Numbi Artist Kinsi Abdulleh and special guests. Come loss yourself in the beats and rediscover tactile sensibilities through rhythm voice dance and visuals.
