Zed Books in conjunction with the Black Cultural Archives host the launch of Assata: An Autobiography. Discover the extraordinary story of Assata Shakur – the FBI’s most wanted woman. With Akala, Zena Edwards, Esther Stanford-Xosei and Daniel Matlin (King’s College).
The evening includes a discussion on Assata Shakur and the Black Power movement, reading and poetry from Zena Edwards, DJ set and music performances curated by Akala and film projections.
