The Alliance Ethio-Française cordially invites you to the opening of the art exhibition"Identity", by Yohannes Bayou, which opens on Monday, 15th of September, at 06:30 pm at Alliance Ethio-Française. Then all day from 16th - 30th September 2014.
Graduate in Fine Arts from the Alle school of Fine Arts and Design (2013), young Ethiopian artist Yohannes Bayou is an up and coming talent to watch.
The works in his latest solo exhibition were inspired by his exploration of the old neighbourhoods of Addis Ababa and the identity of each house, tales of demolished houses, destruction of the “old” and his quest to understand the “new” as the rebirth of the “old”, comparing this phenomenon to the natural cycle of life.
