3RD LAGOS ACCESSORIES FAIR 2014 - 27-28.06.14
Xa! Enterprises, Africa’s leading creativity and concepts based company is set to organise what promises to be the biggest convergence of accessories designers, manufacturers, retailers, buyers, and lovers of accessories.
The specialised Fair which holds in one of Africa’s vibrant fashion capitals, Lagos was born as a result of the fact that accessories which constitute an integral part of the fashion industry were often times relegated to the background. This event is set to compliment efforts of other leading fashion weeks and give accessories the visibility they deserve. The organiser’s assert that Africa produces some of the most creative designs in the world and insists that is is time to celebrate these works, and the creative designers who make them. This informs the choice of the theme ”Celebrating Creativity!”
The 2 day event which is scheduled to hold at Terra Kulture on the 27th and 28th of June, 2014 consists of Seminar, Exhibition, Fashion Show and Awards. Day 1 of the event kicks off with a free to attend seminar by industry leaders and is particularly tailored to meet the needs of all those who are keen on understanding the business, ethics, promotions and opportunities that exist globally in the ever-evolving accessories industry. The seminar shall hold from 10am to 12noon on 27th June, 2014 and shall cover areas such as branding, quality control and new industry trends.
The Exhibition follows immediately afterwards from 12 noon to 8pm on the 27th and continues from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 28th June, 2014. To set the tone for an amazing evening, the Red Carpet, Cocktail and Networking shall run concurrently from 4pm to 6pm. The doors open at 6pm and the Lagos Accessories Fashion Show and Awards commences by 7pm prompt. While the Seminar and Exhibition are open to the general public, the Lagos Accessories Fashion Show and Awards segment of the event shall be strictly by invite.
The Fashion Show and Awards, which happens to be the climax of the event, shall find 50 stunning African models on the runway showcasing diverse beautiful accessories from leading accessories designers and brands. Some of the honourees for this year’s Accessories Awards include Chris Aire, J3V3, L’uomo and Polo Limited who they noted have all contributed towards the development of the industry in their respective arms. Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija is also billed to receive an honorary award as the Accessories Fashion Icon
Some of the designers who will be showcasing their latest collections include Nichole by Haguanna, Emisara, Kamsi Tcharles, L’uomo, Aimas Collection and Taryor Gabriels
Leading accessories designers who have lent their support to the Fair include L’uomo, Aimas Collection, Nichole by Haguanna, Emisara, Ahme, Esho, Rianna’s Collection, Kami Tcharles, Mona Matthews, Obi Daniels, Ralys Rubys, among others. And reservations shall be made on a first come first served basis according to availability of space.
