Call for Nominations: 2014 AWiB Women of Excellence

Association of Women in Business (AWiB) returns for their 2014 Women of Excellence Gala Awards show. And this year you will have the opportunity to nominate again, so hurry the deadline for submitting a nomination is Saturday 31st May 2014.
AWiB, is an association committed to the personal and professional development of female professionals and entrepreneurs, is seeking for nominees from different sectors as the Women of Excellence awards celebrates the excellence of women from all sectors.

- What does the nominee do? Which industry?
- A short paragraph on how the nominee fits the above criteria.
Last years award show was held on On October 27, 2013, at the Sheraton Addis and featured the work and contributions of the five nominees, in the presence of about 500 corporate business executives, influential community leaders, business men and women, the stories and contributions of these five women were shared through short documentaries, printed booklets with bios of all nominees and exchanges with the women themselves.
Sara Mohammed was awarded the 2013 AWiB Woman of Excellence title and award of Birr 100,000 which she donated towards a charity project of her choice.

AWiB is now calling upon members of the public, AWiB friends and fans to nominate women from different sectors you believe have done work that needs to be celebrated; stories you believe need to be heard; and female role models you believe need to be made visible.
The criteria for nomination and selection:
- A woman who has utilized her position, stature and expertise for a cause;
- An outstanding woman who strives to build a great company/organization and also contributes to the success of other entrepreneurs/professionals;
- A woman who serves as an example of hard work and effective management and who demonstrates a powerful commitment to coaching other women and sponsoring them to reach their zenith;
- A woman who promotes community service, who is changing the face of neighbourhoods through initiatives to provide services that benefit other women.
Deadline for submitting a nomination is Saturday 31st May 2014.
