The make-up at New York Fashion Week autumn/winter 2014 saw a return to a classically sophisticated look. The biggest trend being fresh, dewy skin created using sheer foundation and highlighter; a hint of colour added to compliment the look with a subtle pink blush and soft contouring to gently shape the face.

With smoky eyes seen all over the catwalk, many designers chose neutral shades to compliment the radiant skin while others opted for a golden hue or more traditionally dark tones. However, the simplest way to emulate the looks on the catwalk is to invest in black eyeliner. Whether it be a winged liquid-liner or kohl-rimmed eyes, there is no denying that black eyeliner is the look of the season.
|Carolina Herrera Fall/Winter 2014|
Designers Carolina Herrera and Diane Von Furstenberg kept lips natural with a barely there nude pink while Betsey Johnson opted for bright Fuchsia lips for a berry blast of colour and long tousled hair to accompany her hot ‘rock n’ roll’ fashion collection.
