Officially Natural and I Grew it Long have come together to organise Natural Hair Week UK 2014.
Natural Hair Week UK was the first national event dedicated to celebrating naturally kinky curly hair textures in the UK. The six day event was held in six UK cities throughout July 2013 – Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham and London.
In recent years there has been a surge in women returning back to natural, little girls loving their tresses, and men noticing that curly girls rock too! Social media has played a significant role is uniting curlfriends worldwide, including the creation of hair care blogs, how-to YouTube videos, posting hairstyle photos on Instagram, natural hair talk on Facebook and followers of Twitter conversations e.g. #naturalhairrocks.
Natural Hair Week UK 2014 aims to bring together the experts, brands, salon owners and bloggers to produce an exciting natural synergy of entertainment, education and encouragement. Be prepared to come with loads of energy and engage in live sessions and competitions.
The 2014 event, hosted by Natural Hair Daily duo, Elle Jourdainne and Neecie Gold, will feature high-profile speakers and panellists from across the hair and beauty industry.
Elle & Neecie are the naturalistas behind Natural Hair Daily; the rapidly growing inspirational platform showcasing curly, kinky and coily hairstyles. Residing from London, the ladies are on a mission to educate women and men worldwide about natural hair care and encourage them to feel confident whilst embracing their natural tresse.
