MAFI SPRING SUMMER 2018 NAKED YET DRESSED
The body painting fashion of Omo valley people and the ancient tradition and modern look Omo valley is undoubtedly one of the most unique places on earth because of the wide variety of people and animals that inhabit it. It is located in Africa’s great rift valley southern Ethiopia.
The body provides the canvas. And the earth provides the paint. In the lower Omo Valley are living beings with their own special way of life – though for how long? – naked and in daily communion with nature, painting their bodies as others adorn themselves with clothes and makeup. It’s all a question of tools you use and truths you hold to.
