Master this sultry look by allowing your hair to appear purposely untamed. Let small tousled strands fall loosely around the face, using pins, plaits, natural curls or just gravity to give your hair some height and style. Minimise the use of hair products and brushes - slick finishes are a no no for this look!

Either play around with your hair in the hopes of accidentally creating your up do or spend time pinning up a preplanned style.

We’ve seen short hair trending for the last 5 years due to the likes of Rihanna reinventing the A symmetrical bob, Cassie’s shaven sides, and Amber Rose giving us the level 1 blonde bomb shell trim!

Now were all trying it out and putting our own spin on it. From natural hairs and relaxed it’s a great go to when you want a dramatic change from your drowning locks or awkward mid length tresses. It immediately edges up  the girl next door, sculpting the  face to reveal all the beautiful details of your features!

If you want a temporary change, do a cheat like Jennifer Hudson and wear a lace front wig till your ready for another look!

CHUNKY BRAIDS

Braids have to be the ultimate go-to protective style for this icy change in temperature. Save your ends and tuck in your precious strands for a timeless switch to braids. We say go bigger and chunkier for a bit more edge. Keri Hilson is giving us life with the waist length braids she posted on Instagram in the summer. You go girl.

Braid Styling Tips: Do spritz your hair with water and a carrier oil of your choice frequently such as coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil or almond oil. Do redo your outline if you are keeping this style in for longer than three weeks. Don’t pull your hair too tightly. :)
