Afro Hair & Beauty Live took place again for yet another amazing event inviting women from all over to join in on the tips, serious hair envy and freebies. Whether it will be your first or twentieth time, here are 5 reasons why you will not be missing the next one!

1. Inspiration

With diversity in everything from hair styles to fashion labels it is hard not to be inspired by what is around you. We kept locking eyes with the amazing colourful hems of the skirts and dresses by Emile London. The hair and beauty stylists was also there ready for you to go in and talk to with great stands from ORS, Taliah Waajid and Jane Carter. Demonstrations were all around giving us instant access for pressing answers to our daily common beauty questions including demonstrations from Sensationnel Salon.

2. Freebies and Discounts

Lets face it, we all love to save and we have to say the EB team were quite impressed with the discounts on particular items including Taliah Waajid’s 3 items for £10! Complete steal and don’t we just love the freebies!

3. Confident Buys, Confident Hair Do’s

With the likes of celebrity natural hair stylist Felicia Leatherwood and other industry experts providing advice and tips; it gives us all a little bit of ease when it comes to purchasing our next products. There is nothing better than a tailored answers so you know exactly what you are investing in! Ladies get your questions get answered.

4. More Than Just Hair

For the first time ever Afro Hair and Beauty had a bloggers lounge which we were really excited about. It was a great experience to see and interact with familiar faces including Peeks from MO-AM Network and various others. Other highlights included Wahl’s Battle of the Barbers competition, runways, entertainment and the various pampering booths for facial massages and nails!

5. Research

Now this fifth one may not seem like an obvious one but you’d be quite surprised at how inspiring it is to see many people successfully setting up their own ventures with equally great products. It is refreshing to see trade shows supporting that. For all our aspiring entrepreneurs considering to open up in the hair, clothing or beauty trade you may look to consider doing your field research right here, if the guests attending are your audience. American actor Gbenga Akinnagbe (who you may recognise from The Wire and 24) was there too with his stand launching his label We Are Liberated. Check out some of the designs below including Ethiopian Tees, can you believe 50% of the material is made from recycled bottles! We love it.
